Morning Bag Skate: Divisional foes lose; hamburger craziness in Ottawa

The hockey world was given some awful news on Thursday night, as it was announced that Michael Wuest, founder of CapGeek, died of cancer. He changed the game of hockey, and did so as his side job. It’s unclear how old he was, but it’s crystal clear he was way too young. Rest in peace.

**Old friend Andrew Ladd netted the shootout winner as the Jets defeated the Blues, 2-1. The Blackhawks are four points behind the Blues, with one game in hand.

**The Wild lost to the Capitals, giving the Blackhawks more breathing room in the standings. (Star Tribune)

**Andrew Hammond and the Senators knocked off the Bruins in regulation, further narrowing the gap for a playoff berth. Oh, and Curtis Lazar ate a hamburger that was thrown onto the ice. (SBN)
