Second City Hockey joins the For Hockey Fans Network

Ever since Second City Hockey and the rest of its sibling NHL sites were let go from Vox Media earlier this year, we’ve made several references around these parts to a long-term effort of reuniting with all of our siblings under some other entity.

That long-term effort is now a reality.

As of Monday morning, we are happy to announce that Second City Hockey has joined For Hockey Fans, the first vertical launched by For Fans Sports Network, a media company created to provide fans with the content they want about their favorite teams and sports. We are so happy to be going on this journey together with some really amazing people we’ve worked with before, and are excited to be bringing you this news today.

The support we’ve received from the SCH community has been overwhelming in the last several months and we’re thrilled about his new digital home we’ve found on the internet. It’s going to allow us more ways to provide the same type of content SCH has always produced, made by people who are just as passionate about the Blackhawks as you are.

We’re also very happy to share that absolutely nothing will change on your end, this is more about of a behind-the-scenes shift that gives our site a firmer foundation upon which to stand as we all enter this exciting new chapter of Blackhawks hockey. This site will remain your home for Blackhawks-specific items but we’d also sincerely appreciate it if you could make the network’s homepage a part of your daily internet routine and start familiarizing yourself with the sites that will be covering every other corner of the hockey world this season — with several familiar sites from our SB Nation days among them. Feel free to pass that along to a hockey-loving friend or two as well.

Thanks again for all your support. We can’t wait for the 2023-24 hockey season and everything beyond it.
