2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: August 21 schedule, how to watch on TV

Victories by the Stars and Islanders on Thursday mean only two series remain to be decided, one in each conference, and each series features Game 6 on Friday.

The Canadiens and Flyers meet first, with Montreal staving off elimination with a 5-3 win Wednesday. The victory was not without its drama, as Philadelphia defenseman Matt Niskanen was suspended for Game 6 after breaking the jaw of Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher with a cross-check to the face. That injury has Gallagher ruled out for the remainder of the series.

In the nightcap, the Canucks have the Blues on the brink of elimination after Wednesday night’s 4-3 victory, sparked by a pair of goals from former Blackhawk Tyler Motte. The biggest question for St. Louis remains in net, where Jordan Binnington started the series and Jake Allen has also appeared, leaving the identity of the Game 6 starter in question.

Friday, Aug. 21
