The Blackhawks had the better of the play in the second period, generating a good number of scoring chances. They only outshot the Devils by 1, and lead the shot total 18-17 after the first 40. The ‘Hawks will start the third period on the power play, so hopefully they will be able to take advantage of that and even this game up at 1 early in the period.
