The Blackhawks followed up their fifth-round pick with a similarly large European import in the sixth round, taking forward Milton Oscarson with the No. 167 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Oscarson is a big body, checking in at 6-foot-6 and 216 pounds. He spent last season playing for Orebro in his native Sweden, tallying only 3 points (1 G, 2 A) in 45 regular-season games. That production bumped up significantly in the postseason, though, with Oscarson notching 6 points (4 G, 2 A) in 13 playoff games. Oscarson also appared in 7 games for Sweden during the World Juniors, scoring a pair of goals.
