The Blackhawks continued their recent streak of losing after wins, falling 2-1 to the Stars on Sunday afternoon in Dallas.
Dominik Kubalik scored a power-play goal for Chicago (27-27-8), which has lost three of its past four and is 3-7-2 since a five-game winning streak. Corey Crawford made 31 saves, including eight high-danger saves.
Joe Pavelski and Tyler Seguin each scored for the Stars, who are 6-0-1 in their past seven games.
After allowing double-digit shots, including multiple close calls, Pavelski made it 1-0 at 15:20. Pavelski was left alone on the doorstep by Duncan Keith and Slater Koekkoek, and got the puck past Crawford.
A messy start to the second period and an interference call against Jonathan Toews wiped out a Kubalik power-play goal. After Alex DeBrincat was slashed in the face, however, the Blackhawks went back on the 4-on-3 and eventually scored, as Kubalik fired a shot from the right face-off circle past Anton Khudobin for his 26th goal this season. Chicago has scored three power-play goals in two straight games.

Corey Perry sent a pass to Seguin, who settled it down as Crawford went down early to make the stop but Seguin shifted the puck away and into the open net for a 2-1 lead at 16:29.
The Blackhawks dominated both even strength against Dallas in the second, including Crawford making a save against Mattias Janmark’s first NHL penalty shot.
The Blackhawks fired seven shots in the third, but only had one high-danger chance.
Lucas Carlsson had one shot attempt and blocked one shot in 14:55 in his NHL debut as he drew into the lineup for Nick Seeler alongside Connor Murphy.
