Chris Kunitz will play in his 1,000th career NHL game Thursday when the Blackhawks host the Devils at the United Center.

The IceHogs are off until Saturday, when they host the Iowa Wild at BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Bulls ended their franchise-record 11th home losing streak with a 122-100 win over the Grizzlies on Wednesday night at the United Center. The Cubs also added left-handed relief pitcher Xavier Cedaño.
