The Blackhawks ended the Islanders’ five-game win streak with a 3-2 shootout victory Tuesday at the United Center.
Patrick Kane will represent the Blackhawks at the NHL All-Star weekend Friday and Saturday in San Jose. Chicago won’t play again until Feb. 1 at Buffalo.
Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Fire signed Polish winger Przemystaw Frankowski then Jeremiah Gutjahr to a homegrown contract. The club also unveiled their new kit and sponsorship deal with Motorola.
The Bulls host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.
