Watch: Every goal of Patrick Kane’s first regular-season career hat trick

Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane recorded his first career regular-season hat trick against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night at Air Canada Centre.

Kane scored twice in the second period then into an empty net with 2:12 left in the third for the hat trick. The three goals give Kane 28 this season for the NHL lead, just two ahead of Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin. Kane’s season-high is 30 set in the 2009-10 season.

Kane had two hat tricks in the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2009 and 2013. He has 233 regular-season goals, six shy of former teammate Patrick Sharp for 12th in franchise history. He is seven away from teammate Jonathan Toews.

The Hawks won the game, 4-1, for their tenth straight victory.
