The Blackhawks will honor 2010 Stanley Cup champion Adam Burish with a “One More Shift” pregame ceremony Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the United Center.
The Blackhawks’ “One More Shift” program is an ode to former players that allows fans to recognize them one more time as they skate on the United Center ice. Burish will take the ice during the national anthem after starting lineups are announced. In-arena elements will also feature highlights of his career with the Blackhawks.
Burish, who was drafted in the ninth round of the 2002 NHL draft by Chicago, spent four seasons with the Blackhawks. He had four points (one goal, three assists) in 13 regular-season games and no points in 15 playoff games during Chicago’s 2009-10 championship season. He tallied five points (three goals, two assists) in 32 playoff games with Chicago in back-to-back seasons.
Burish signed a two-year deal with the Stars on July 1, 2010, then upon his contract expiring joined the Sharks on a four-year deal. He had 60 points (27 goals, 33 assists) in 378 career NHL games with Chicago, Dallas (2010-12) and San Jose (2012-15).
After he retired from hockey in 2016, Burish joined NBC Sports Chicago the following year as a Blackhawks television analyst for pre- and post-game shows.
Burish was selected as the fourth and final “One More Shift” participant this season from the 2010 championship team, joining Dave Bolland, Brian Campbell and Kris Versteeg. The fifth and final 10th anniversary night will be March 19, which will feature multiple members of the 2010 team.

For Tuesday night’s game, Atrium doors will open at 4 p.m. with gates to the arena to follow at 6 p.m. Burish will participate in a live Q&A session moderated by NBC Sports Chicago’s Pat Boyle at about 6:15 p.m. in the Atrium.
