The Blackhawks’ winning streak ended at three games with a 7-5 loss to the Canucks, who won their sixth straight Thursday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
Adam Gaudette gathered the puck then skated toward the slot and released a wrist shot past Robin Lehner for the game-winning goal at 15:49 of the third period. Bo Horvat added an empty-net goal with nine seconds remaining to seal the Vancouver win.
Horvat scored two goals and an assist, and J.T. Miller had a goal and two assists for Vancouver (22-15-4), which improved to 4-0 against Chicago (18-18-6) at home. Jacob Markstrom made 28 saves for his fifth straight victory.
Patrick Kane scored two goals, and Dominik Kubalik had three primary assists for Chicago, which had its road win streak end at four games. Robin Lehner made 30 saves on 36 shots in his first loss in seven games. Lehner also appeared to sustain a right leg injury in the third period, but remained in the game.
Lehner’s right knee was wrapped in ice but he said it should be fine.

Shorty after a power play expired, Miller deflected Horvat’s shot into the net from the slot to put the Canucks up 1-0 at 5:04. Miller was left open in front of the net because Dennis Gilbert finished a check against Brock Boeser.

Murphy tied it 1-1 at 14:00 when he fired a slap shot from the right circle that sneaked in short side on Markstrom. Jonathan Toews deflected Miller’s pass from behind the net that caused it to bounce into the slot where Kubalik smacked it loose to Murphy for the goal.
Tanner Pearson deflected Alex Edler’s shot from the point to give the Canucks a 2-1 lead at 2:48 of the second period.
Then Chicago scored three goals in a 4:02-minute span to take a 4-2 lead.
David Kampf skated into the zone, moved to the middle and released a wrist shot past a screened Markstrom to tie it 2-2 at 4:15.
Adam Boqvist slid a pass to Kane, who fired a one-timer from the top of the right circle for a 3-2 lead on a power-play goal at 6:25.
Toews made it 4-2 at 8:17 when he flipped a backhand shot to the net that bounced off Quinn Hughes’ left leg and into the net.

But Vancouver responded with five goals, including two in the second to tie it 4-4 heading into the third period.
Hughes avenged his bad bounce at 10:20 with a power-play goal from the point to trim the deficit to 3-2, and Elias Pettersson scored a wrist shot from the slot to tie it 4-4 at 11:45.

Horvat scored his second goal of the game for Vancouver to take a 5-4 lead at 8:10.
Kubalik chipped the puck ahead to Kane, who fired it a wrist shot through Markstrom’s legs to tie it 5-5 at 13:44.
