Remember when Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo tried to shoot the puck, only to go horribly wide each time? Poor guy. The Chicago Blackhawks brought in one of his teammates, though – this time pitcher, Jason Hammel – to see if he could restore some of the Cubs’ dignity on the ice.
Hey @ARizzo44! That wasn’t hard. #igoturback #gottacleanupurslop @cubs @nhlblackhawks pic.twitter.com/hm3CwEclcI

And he did! His first shot wasn’t that bad, but his second actually went in. Miles better than what Rizzo did – and they both know it, as salty as Rizzo may be.
Wow you make shooting right handed look so easy dude… https://t.co/l8aCyHEfNp

Hammel, however, is both a great sportsman and teammate.
Excuses, excuses…just keep hitting tanks into the right field bleachers. #I number44 https://t.co/HoJyj3tM1p

So that’s none for the infield, and one for pitchers. Somebody get an outfielder in there, see how well they do!
What’s probably best about this, though, is just how evident it is the Cubs players like the Blackhawks, and hockey as a whole. Keep that inter-sport love going, guys – and keep spreading the good word of Chicago sports.
